Welcome to We2: Couple Games & Questions ("We2", "we", "our", or "us"), developed and operated by HeyIDB ("Developer"). We2 helps couples connect, strengthen their relationship, and spark meaningful conversations through AI-generated questions, games, shared answers, and relationship insights.

Your privacy is paramount to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, transfer, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile app and related web services. This document forms an integral part of our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide a secure, paired, and personalized couple experience.

a. Information You Provide Directly

• Account Data: Authentication credentials, primary email address, and profile name provided via Google Sign-In (Firebase Authentication).
• Profile Data: Display name, optional profile picture, avatar selection, and language preferences.
• User Content: Answers to relationship questions, custom couple prompts, game entries, notes, and shared reflections.

b. Partner Pairing Data

• Pairing Code: A unique pairing code used exclusively to connect you with your partner.
• Paired Linkage: Secure account linkage connecting your user account with your partner's account.

c. Automatically Collected Data

• Device Information: Hardware model, operating system version (iOS/Android), system language, and network status.
• Usage Analytics: Anonymized screen views, feature interaction statistics, and session duration measured via Firebase Analytics.
• Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device registration tokens used strictly to deliver partner activity alerts and daily question notifications.
• Crash Reports: Stack traces, device state, and technical error logs captured by Firebase Crashlytics to debug app failures.

d. AI Interaction Data

Anonymized prompt parameters and question categories processed via the Google Gemini API to generate personalized questions and conversation insights.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users located in the EEA or UK, we process personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contractual Necessity (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): To perform our contract with you under our Terms of Service (creating accounts, pairing devices, syncing answers).
• Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): To secure the app, analyze aggregate usage via Firebase Analytics, and debug crashes via Crashlytics.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For sending push notifications or collecting optional system-level telemetry.

4. AI Processing & Google Gemini API Integration

We2 uses the Google Gemini API to power dynamic question generation and relationship reflections. Transmitted prompt inputs are anonymized over encrypted connections. In accordance with Google Gemini API terms for developer services, your data is not used by Google to train public machine learning models. AI outputs are provided solely for entertainment and bonding purposes and do not substitute for certified psychological or couples therapy advice.

5. Third-Party Subprocessors

We rely on trusted cloud service providers to maintain app operations:

• Firebase Authentication & Cloud Firestore (Google LLC): Identity verification and real-time database storage.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging, Analytics & Crashlytics (Google LLC): Push notifications, anonymized usage telemetry, and crash diagnostics.
• Google Gemini API (Google LLC): AI prompt and question generation.
• Apple App Store & Google Play Billing: In-app purchase and subscription processing.

6. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored on secure cloud servers operated by our infrastructure providers in the United States and other global regions. Data transfers outside the EEA/UK rely on European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and Data Privacy Framework certifications.

7. Data Security & Retention

• All network traffic uses TLS 1.2/1.3 encryption. Data stored in our cloud databases is encrypted at rest using AES-256.
• Access controls strictly restrict access to couple data exclusively to the two paired partner accounts.
• Active account data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile data, pairing link, and answers are permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Account Deletion Rights

In accordance with Apple App Store and Google Play developer requirements, you can delete your account directly inside the app:

1. Open We2 > Go to Settings > Account & Security.
2. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

You may also email deletion requests to basavaraja@heyidb.com from your registered Google account email address.

9. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your location, you have the right to access, rectify, port, or request deletion of your personal data, as well as the right to opt out of data processing. We do not sell or share personal data under CCPA/CPRA.

10. Children's Privacy

We2 is strictly intended for adult couples aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
