1. Introduction

Welcome to Clues: AI Health & Symptom Tracker ("Clues", "we", "our", or "us"). Clues is designed to help you track your daily energy, mood, and symptoms to discover hidden health correlations using on-device AI. Because health data is deeply personal, we built Clues with absolute privacy as our core principle.

By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect (And Where It Stored)

Clues operates under a strict offline-first, local-only architecture.

a. Health & Symptom Data

• Daily Check-ins: Any information you log regarding your energy, mood, stress levels, hydration, sleep, and specific symptoms (like headaches or fatigue).
• Where it is stored: All of this data is stored locally on your device using a secure on-device database (ISAR). It is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.

b. Automatically Collected Data

• Crash Analytics: We may collect anonymous crash logs strictly to identify and fix bugs. These logs do not contain any of your personal health entries.

c. AI Processing

Clues uses AI to generate personalized insights based on your entries. To protect your privacy:

• We prioritize using Apple Intelligence and local on-device processing APIs. When these are utilized, the analysis happens entirely on your phone.
• Your health data is never used to train public AI models.

3. How We Use Your Information

Because your data remains on your device, we do not "use" your data in the traditional sense. The app locally processes your data to:

• Display your history of check-ins and symptoms.
• Generate daily insights and highlight correlations between your habits and health.
• Trigger local push notifications to remind you to check in.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with anyone. Period.

Because we do not sync your data to the cloud, we physically cannot access your entries or share them with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

5. Data Security

Your data's security is tied directly to your device's security. We strongly recommend securing your smartphone with a strong passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID to protect the local database where Clues stores your information.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• Your data is retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed.
• You can permanently delete all of your data at any time by simply uninstalling the app from your device, or by using the "Clear All Data" option within the app settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

Clues does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our app's features or legal requirements. Any updates will appear in-app and on our website with the revised effective date. Continued use of Clues means you accept the updated terms.
